Key Tasks
Assists with purchases, inventory, and stocking of Kawartha Wildlife Centre merchandise in the KWC Store.
Assists with financial record-keeping, obtaining quotes and organizing purchase records as directed.
Maintains inventory and assists with purchasing of wildlife care supplies, including medical supplies and food for a variety of native Ontario wildlife.
Interacts and communicates with members of the public both in person and by phone, responding to voicemails as required.
Coordinates material donations.
Helps to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the Centre.
May assist with Wildlife Care, fundraising initiatives, and other Kawartha Wildlife Centre initiatives as required, at the discretion of the Executive Director and the Board.
Required Skills and Experience
Ability and willingness to complete tasks independently, maintain records, and to seek clarification when unclear.
Ability to work well as a member of a team, communicating clearly and effectively and helping to maintain a positive workplace atmosphere.
Ability to follow precise direction as required for health and safety.
Familiarity with native Ontario wildlife is considered an asset.
Strong oral and verbal communication skills.
