Key Tasks

  • Deliver programming and facilitate in-person and online activities appropriate to children, youth, and adults. Activities will reflect native Ontario wildlife, conservation, awareness, and co-existence, in alignment with KWC’s mandate.

  • Develop and schedule social media content, reflective of educational materials and other information relevant to the patients and mission of Kawartha Wildlife Centre.

  • Interact and communicate effectively with children, youth, parents, and members of the public both in person at the KWC Education Centre and also through online social media platforms.

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the KWC Education Centre.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Ability and willingness to complete tasks independently, maintain records, and to seek clarification when unclear.

  • Ability to work well as a member of a team, communicating clearly and effectively and helping to maintain a positive workplace atmosphere.

  • Strong oral communication skills, and confidence in speaking to members of the public

  • Strong social media and technology skills

  • Familiarity with native Ontario wildlife is considered an asset.

  • Completion of or current enrollment in a Bachelor of Education or Early Childhood Education program is considered an asset.
