This is a volunteer position, compensation is making a contribution for wildlife in need!
Location:
Virtual with some in-person meetings at Kawartha Wildlife Centre,
470 Robinson Road, Ennismore, Ontario, K0L 1T0
Key Tasks
In accordance with bylaws, serves as a member of the Executive Committee (Chair, Treasurer, Secretariat)
Provides financial advice to the Board and monitor the financial health of Kawartha Wildlife Centre
Interprets financial statements for the Board and provides updates to the membership at the Annual General Meeting
Serves as organization’s contact for annual audits with external contractor
Serves as a co-signer of cheques and other disbursements of funds.
Develops and presents an annual budget
Required Skills and Experience
Demonstrated experience with good financial management and reporting practices forcharities.
Payroll/Bookkeeping experience is desirable but not required
A professional accounting designation is desirable but not required.
It is preferred that new Directors have prior Board/governance experience, but this is notrequired.
